OUR INTERMEDIATE WING CHUN CLASS.
Our Intermediate Wing Chun class focuses on a range of skills mostly related to the concepts of the Wooden Dummy. Intermediate Wing Chun students practice these concepts in set combinations or formal drills that develop the ability to judge distance, speed, and the movement of an attacker. Combinations are a formal pattern of martial arts skills that promote balance and physical structure while under pressure.
Our intermediates Wing Chun students spend more time working on their striking, footwork, and distance judgement skills in an authentic manner. This training program also involves controlled Wing Chun sparring (Gor Sao), Dan Chi Sao, and more complex turning and sticking drills intended to improve your reflexes.
These classes also focus on understanding Wing Chun as a martial art while developing their ability to apply the concepts of the Sui Nim Tao (1st) Form.
