OUR INTERMEDIATE Plus WING CHUN CLASS.
Our Intermediate Plus Wing Chun classes are effectively an advanced form of training for Intermediate students so that they can improve their general martial arts skills and ability.
These classes are meant to form the foundation for transfer to the advanced classes held at the London Wing Chun Academy. While students at the Intermediate level Wing Chun Classes have focused on the Wing Chun forms, these students concentrate on developing their sparring, fighting, and self defence skills in preparation for the later level.
Advanced Intermediate Wing Chun training focuses on more complex theories that are designed to improve balance and structure within the context of the Wing Chun Wooden Dummy Form. At times these students are required to think outside of the box and practice San Shou in order to develop a better understanding of their limitations.
Training at this stage is fun, energetic, and at times fitness intensive, but these students have an enjoyable martial arts experience in a safe, friendly, and nurturing environment.
ABOUT THIS CLASS.
This class meets every Wednesday at 8.45pm.
A typical fitness class is 1 hour and 15 minutes long and consists of a brief fitness agility warm up, co-ordination exercises, drilling and application of wing chun technique, however there is a greater emphasis on live sparring and reflex training drills (Chi Sao).
Required Equipment: If you decide that you wish to train regularly then the following equipment will be helpful: Gum Shield, Focus Mitts, Boxing Gloves.
